Self-Catering Cave Houses in Cappadocia

“Esbelli Evi”, for 30 years one the most highly-regarded traditional inns in Cappadocia, now offers its cave accommodations as “self-catering houses”.

Esbelli Evi’s owner, Mr. Süha Ersöz, worked as a tourism volunteer in Cappadocia after university. In 1987, he bought his first abandoned traditional cave & stone house in Esbelli neighborhood, at the top of the ridge overlooking Ürgüp. He restored the house authentically and opened in 1990 with 5 rooms as the first boutique cave hotel in Cappadocia. Over the past 30 years, he has bought, renovated, and restored the adjacent eleven other houses with cave and stone rooms.

Carefully, sensitively and authentically restored, the ten cave houses in Ürgüp are the perfect Cappadocia base for couples, solo travelers, families, or groups of friends. They echo the simplicity, harmony, heritage & culture of historic Cappadocia, and have all the modern comforts & cleanliness you expect with aesthetically-decorated sitting rooms, bedrooms, fully-equipped kitchens for meal preparation, courtyards, terraces and gardens. Each of Esbelli Evi Houses has an independent entry/exit.
